Artclear Jt Pilot with The White Glove a success

Artclear and The White Glove are pleased to announce their collaboration on a ground breaking pilot project. For the first time, an artwork going to auction will have ‘dual backing’ by an Auction guarantee and a digital certificate, stored on the Blockchain. This marks a significant milestone towards our joint mission for greater transparency and accessibility in the artmarket.

This dual backing involves the scanning of the artwork to create a digital certificate, which, along with the transaction details, is securely stored on the blockchain. This innovative approach ensures the integrity and provenance of the artwork, providing greater confidence to buyers and sellers.

"We are thrilled to partner with Artclear on this innovative project," said Charles Bent, Co-founder and COO at The White Glove. "Our mission is to make financial solutions more accessible in the art market. By leveraging Artclear's Blockchain technology and digital certificates, we are bringing new levels of assurance, transparency, and trust to the market. This collaboration represents a significant step forward in achieving our goals.”

"Artclear is excited to work with The White Glove to bring greater confidence and trust to art collectors and investors," said Angus Scott - CEO at Artclear. “Artclear is a Digital Asset Management system for physical art. Using advanced technology, we forensically identify individual works with a unique digital fingerprint and permanently link them to attributable facts that stay with each piece over its life, reducing the costs and risks of all types of transactions in the future.

Bundling this information in a Certificate that is linked to the artwork, stored on the blockchain and transferrable to its new collector – will bring advanced levels of certainly for the rest of its lifetime.”

The artwork, a Bridget Riley 'Leap' Edition of 75, was auctioned by Forum on Wednesday, July 31st and achieved a 14% yield.
